Kick Off WUACD 2018

Academics interactions with peers outside the country have a significant role to social and economy influence in the world affairs. To accommodate discourse on community development, Universitas Airlangga is proud to initiate and announce 1st World Universities Association for Community Development Summit with the grand theme: “Community Development: World Challenges and Opportunities”.

The World Universities Association for Community Development (hereafter WUACD) will be fully integrated into Association of Southeast Asia Nations (ASEAN), Japan, Korea, China, Australia, Africa, Europe, and America’s universities. It has four main pillars, namely, WAUCD for Children Health Improvement, WAUCD for Poor’s Social and Economy Development, WAUCD for Marginalized Educational Development, and WAUCD for Environmental Issues.

To establish a reliable and solid academic caring for human life quality, we altogether should realize that there are so many people still face serious problem on education, health, economy, and environmental issues. Behind these phenomenon, there are also any opportunities and challenges to set up specific action programs in the context of community development
