WUACD Thematic Summer Programs: the first Training for Trainers of International Herbal Medicine Workshop 2021

Continuing The Thematic Summer Programs by WUACD, one of the workshop series, is the first International Herbal Medicine online training. The online training expectedly fulfills much enthusiasm as their used Amazing Traditional Remedies from Several Countries to be the central theme. The online training began as scheduled on July 9th, 2021, through the zoom meeting. The training had the dean of Vocational School make an opening remark before it started. The first schedule was The Process of Making Herbal Medicines Presented by the target group of community development from Indonesia by Dr. apt. Wiwied Ekasari, M.Si. from Universitas Airlangga, from Malaysia by Prof. Dr. Jamia Azdina Jamal from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, then rom Thailand by Dr. Sathianpong Phoopha from Prince of Songkla University. After that, the audience could give comments and feedback with still observed by their panelist, who came from Universitas Airlangga and WUACD’s university partner.

Moreover, the second training plan had the same concept, “The Process of Making Herbal Medicines,” but used different trainers. Three of the genuinely outstanding trainers on the second training agenda were Virendra Pratap Singh, M. Pharm from Maharana Pratap University, India, Dr. Mohammed Shafikur Rahman, and Dr. Farhana Israt Jahan, who both from Daffodil International University, Bangladesh. After each of the representatives elaborate their materials, the audience had another discussion and asked some questions about them. In addition, to complete the first training of International Herbal Medicine, Presentation and Discussion of Innovative Packaging for Herbal Medicine Products provide by apt. Maya Septriana, M.Si. from Universitas Airlangga. Packaging is one of the crucial aspects that we all must be aware of to complete Herbal Medicine.
