Since its inception in 2018, the World University Association for Community Development (WUACD) has hosted the WUACD Summit annually as a vital platform for fostering collaboration among member universities. The summit serves to strengthen inter-university partnerships aimed at designing and advancing joint community development programs within the realm of higher education.
In this year, the WUACD Summit will expand its impact with a three-day series of events that not only facilitate partner meetings but also emphasize collaborative efforts in community service initiatives.
The summit will officially commence on Friday, June 13, 2025, with the AMBC Conference, initiated by the ASEAN Network on Microbial Utilization (AnMicro). This opening conference will spotlight innovation and academic exchange in microbial utilization and its community applications.
On Saturday, June 14, 2025, the summit will reach its main agenda. Participants will present and evaluate community engagement reports from 2024 and collaboratively develop strategic plans for WUACD programs in 2025.
The final day, Sunday, June 15, 2025, will feature a special collaboration with AUN/SEED-Net through the AUN/SEED-Net Regional Conference 2025: ASEAN BCG Network Meeting and Conference. This session will showcase keynote speakers and presentations highlighting regional initiatives in the Bio-Circular-Green (BCG) Economy across ASEAN.
Throughout the three-day summit, attendees will not only gain valuable academic and professional insights, but also strengthen global networks in community service and sustainable development, fostering real-world impact through collaborative education.

As part of the WUACD Summit 2025, the AUN/SEED-Net Regional Conference 2025: ASEAN BCG Network Meeting and Conference stands out as a key sub-event dedicated to advancing regional cooperation in sustainable development. This event is a collaborative initiative hosted by Universitas Airlangga in partnership with the Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS), and is supported by AUN/SEED-Net.
