WUACD Executive Board Meeting 2025: Building Together an Impactful Program for a Sustainable Community

On November 14, 2025, at the Prakoh Hutasinght Room, Thammasat University, the WUACD Executive Board Meeting 2025 was conducted. The WUACD Executive Board Meeting has been running a few times after the establishment of the association up to this day with the aim of coordinating on the upcoming WUACD projects to be implemented in 2026. During the opening ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Supreedee Rittironk, Vice Rector for International Affairs, Thammasat University, gave a warm welcome to all representatives in attendance. After the warm welcome from Assoc. Prof. Dr. Supreedee Rittironk, Prof. Muhammad Miftahussurur, MD., Ph.D, who serves as the Chairperson of WUACD, delivered opening remarks to all board members in attendance at the meeting. In these opening remarks, Prof. Miftahussurur introduced the WUACD structure for the 2025 to 2027 period and invited all partners to propose programs and be involved in the programs proposed.

After the opening remarks, the following agenda is the Networking Meeting, which is an overview of various upcoming programs. During this agenda, led by Project Coordinators, every board member provided various ideas and arrangements for WUACD’s upcoming agenda next year. In addition to providing ideas and arrangements, there were also presentations of the results of various programs that have been running this year. Furthermore, in accordance with the presentation of plans and results of various existing programs, a report was delivered on what the association has done in community development initiatives throughout 2025 and on plans for 2026 for how the network within the association could contribute more to broader community development initiatives. This provides a positive outlook on how the WUACD, together with all partners, as an association, will collaborate to build a stronger community for the future.

Following the conclusion of the Networking Meeting agenda, the next agenda provided participants with a detailed platform to discuss future program plans. Indeed, from all the program presentations, it was clear that all participants in the Executive Board Meeting were making tangible commitments aligned with SDG 17, Partnerships for the Goals. The meeting atmosphere, by focusing on the delivery of constructive suggestions and mutual cooperation in developing the best programs, demonstrated the high commitment of all participants to achieving the various SDGs. Certainly, with the Executive Board Meeting in place, it is expected to serve as a platform for establishing a more beneficial program direction for the entire community in the future.
