Human capital has a big role in the community since some variables can greatly affect one’s well-being. Because of this, it is important to improve the quality and wellbeing of the community in order to gain success and prosperity. Throughout this process, it required a program that is able to empower the work and abilities of each individual. Therefore, community development is an effective way to answer these society problems.
In accordance with SDG 8 about decent work and economic growth, a workshop has been held with a focus on “Digitized SMEs”. The agenda takes place in Dili, the capital city of Timor-Leste. The seminar was held twice on October 13, 2022 and October 14, 2022. It has participants from small and medium-sized enterprises owned by housewives.
Furthermore, the program was implemented by the Indonesian Embassy in Timor Leste together with Universidade Nacional Timor Lorosa’e. 16 people from Universitas Airlangga were assigned to be delegates. This program has been expected to enhance the human capital of small and medium enterprises and the livestock industry. Moreover, this program is also expected to open up decent work for all while boosting the nation’s economy.
