As a commitment on supporting the Sustainable Development Goals, WUACD conducted a summer program to enhance the students and community engagement in enriching the learning experience. In 2022, the theme was Gender Equality, Disability, and Social Inclusion (GEDSI) and in collaboration with Tirta Ayu Spa and Sekolah Perempuan Wringanom Gresik. The program was conducted on 5 – 27 July 2022. 

Sekolah Perempuan Wringanom is an informal education to strengthen the role of women in the community and is expected to contribute to social welfare. Tirta Ayu Spa, established by Ir. Lenywati, had become the business partner because of their commitment to empower and educate female employees. It reflects collaborative penta helix approach implemented by WUACD Universitas Airlangga.

Before the student participants implemented the empowerment program to the women community in Gresik, they had several series of webinars to enrich their knowledge on women empowerment, herbal products, and digital marketing for small and medium enterprises. They were also invited to Tirta Ayu Spa to learn more about herbal products that could be produced and sold by the women community in Gresik. And the program was closed by two-days teaching the community to produce and sell the home-made herbal products.
