
WUACD Universitas Airlangga, in collaboration with Indonesian Ministry of International Affairs, held an International Policy Study Forum on 14 June 2022. The forum discussed Indonesia’s role in the G20 in supporting vaccine equality in Africa. The forum was opened by Prof. Dr. Moh. Nasih, Rector of Universitas Airlangga and Dr. Yayan Ganda Hayat Mulyana, Head of Foreign Policy Strategy Agency Indonesia.
The forum invited several prominent speakers to discuss several topics. The first speaker was Tyas Baskoro Her Witjaksono Adji who discussed the development of Indonesia’s foreign policy in Africa and the strategic value of Africa for Indonesia. Then, it was followed by Lintang Paramitasari Parnohadiningrat who discussed the development of Indonesia’s vaccine diplomacy for global vaccine equality. The third speaker was Elizabeth Sarah Aryaputri who discussed The issue of vaccine equality in the G20 and the role of the Indonesian presidency in advancing the issue of vaccine equality in Africa. The last speakers was Prof. Dr. Fedik Abdul Rantam who discussed Genomic Surveillance and the development of COVID-19 vaccine in Indonesia.
Prof. Dr. Nasih mentioned “WUACD provides a platform for universities around the world to work and collaborate within the community development activities in supporting the Sustainable Development Goals.”
