Cooperative Relationship Starting Universitas Airlangga and Federation University of Australia with Program of New Colombo Plan 2023

The program was conducted as a community outreach program to understand the cultural context of handling public health in Indonesia, especially the East Java region community. Federation University of Australia in International Business and Nursing participated in the Program of New Colombo Plan 2023 for two weeks. The program was held in Surabaya, Pasuruan, and Lamongan. Twenty-five international students and three staff from the Federation University of Australia participated. Supported by WUACD Universitas Airlangga, this program has the output to strengthen relations between Universitas Airlangga and Federation University, and is able to interact with students and faculty members from both universities. 

The program’s activities in Surabaya pervade meetings with Universitas Airlangga’s parties, visiting Primary Health Care, the hospital, City Health Office, and Public Health Center. Besides public facilities, this program enforces participants to visit villages in the Surabaya area to carry out some activities in terms of health care.


Next on the agenda, the participants visited hospitals such as RSUD Bangil and RSPH Sukorejo, Pasuruan, East Java. In Lamongan of East Java, the participants visited Laren Village and Integrated Health Care Center for Mental Health. Last stop for the program, participants visited Bali for cultural exchange before going back to their home country.
