
In a distinguished display of international collaboration, Universitas Airlangga hosted Federation University on Monday, January 8, 2023, at Balairua Hall, situated within the Management Office C Campus. The occasion was graced by the esteemed presence of Prof. Dr. Ni Nyoman Tri Puspaningsih, the Vice-Rector for Research, Innovation, and Community Development, and Chairperson of WUACD, who conveyed her unwavering support and appreciation for this landmark initiative, expressing gratitude towards Federation University, Australia.
The conductor of this significant event, Prof. Dr. Santi Martini, Dean of the Faculty of Public Health, extended a gracious welcome to the Federation University delegation, setting the stage for a day of intellectual exchange and cultural enrichment.
The distinguished Federation University delegation, led by Prof. Dr. Muhammad Aziz Rahman and accompanied by Dr. Biswajit Banik and Ms. Nicole Michelle Coombs, contributed to the Fed-Air program with 16 students from Federation University, Australia. Their arrival in Surabaya on January 6, 2023, marked the commencement of a journey promising collaboration, exploration, and shared learning.

As part of the program, student ambassadors from the Faculty of Public Health, Faculty of Nursing, and Faculty of Vocational Studies conducted a comprehensive campus tour spanning the three campuses of Universitas Airlangga. The occasion provided both students and delegates with an opportunity to immerse themselves in the rich academic and cultural milieu that Universitas Airlangga offers.
Fed-Air, a collaborative initiative between Federation University, Australia, and Universitas Airlangga, continues to serve as a symbol of cross-cultural cooperation. Building upon the success of the previous year’s “New Colombo Plan,” this program underscores the significance of global partnerships and the limitless potential inherent in international education initiatives.
