WUACD Thematic Summer Programs: the First Pocketbook Workshop Preparation of Migrant Worker Empowerment

One of the WUACD Thematic Summer Programs that collaborate with the Faculty of Law, Faculty of Social and Political Science and The Faculty of Advance Technology and Multidisciplineis called Migrant Worker Empowerment. This program aims to increasing the Migrant’s knowledge by providing them a well-made pocketbook. The pocketbook made afterhearing the opinion from certain Indonesia migrant worker representative on the three fields. That three field includes Prevention of Violent Extremism, Digital Literacy, and Advocacy Guidance for Migrant Worker.Thus, make the pocketbook really near with their concern and solution in a simpler way. The first session letAtin Supriyatin as the chief of SBMI Singapore, Andi Azhar, S. IP, M. BA as the branch manager of Muhammdiyah Taiwan, Nurhalimah as the representative from SBMI Hongkong, Dina Nurhayati as the chief of Dewan Nasional SBMI, Angger Baskot, ST MTM.Sc as the chief of PPI Hsinchuspeak up the recent condition on each country based on those certain three aspects.

After half of the representatives shares their opinion, the moderator letSutiah, S. Pd as the representative for Pendamping Program Peduli Anak Migran, Ridwan Ismail as the representative from SBMI Malaysia, Muhammad Muslih, S. Kep., Ns, M. Sc as the chief of PPI and PCIM Taiwan, Amira Paipurna, S.H., LL.M., Ph.d. form Universitas Airlangga, and Wiwin Warsiating as the representative from Pusat Kabar Bumi to shares their unease towards the audience with the same certain topic. The merrier opinion from each representative makes the pocketbook closer to migrant worker as the target reader in the future. They gave many inputs and advice towards it. For instance, not to make the language too complicated or too academic, etc. The event will continue to the second meeting of pocketbook preparation on August 23rd 2021 with organizing book agenda between panelist and audience of Migrant Power Empowerment event series.
